Stainless steel offers excellent mechanical properties as well corrosion resistance and performs better in a fire compared to carbon that it retains its strength stiffness for longer duration. The current paper is focussed on the post-fire condition, which has only received limited attention date from research community. motivation work show stainless elements have been exposed can be re-instated with minimal additional costs short time frame. proceeds description of recent material tests into residual grade 1.4301 austenitic steel, following exposure elevated temperature. Two different types test are added this available data. Firstly, series tensile completed coupons taken loaded beam previously examined under conditions.
